The Sr Quality Assurance Risk Analyst leverages credit product, risk and operational expertise to identify concerns and opportunities in the credit control environment and advise line of business stakeholders on action plans to address the issues identified.*****This role can be done remotely from WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC.****RESPONSIBILITIES**+ Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.+ Plan, perform and supervise risk-based quality assurance testing designed to add value and improve BECU's risk control environment.+ Lead stakeholder engagement, performing testing and maintaining detailed and accurate work papers, provide constructive feedback to engagement team, and finalize the findings into a summary report with sufficient details to support the results.+ Identifies risks related to BECU processes and evaluate controls used to manage those risks, based on their impact to the achievement of BECU's strategic objectives and goals.+ Ensure that issues are property sized and escalated appropriately.+ Act as a resource for training of quality assurance staff and assist management as a back-up during absences.+ Collect information and prepare detailed reporting of results. Advise management teams of results of reviews and serve as a subject matter expert on the control environment and testing strategies.+ Work closely with business leadership and management teams on action plans and provide credible challenge as needed to ensure effectiveness of action plans.+ Provide credible challenge when appropriate to ensure stakeholders are well informed and understand root cause and develop appropriate action plans.+ Monitor effectiveness and compare results of test strategies using internal and external data and adjust accordingly to address gaps and improve effectiveness of the quality control programs.+ Act as a liaison with external vendors and industry resources to address needs of the program and stay up to date on industry practices and trends.+ Perform additional duties, as assigned.**Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advanced degree preferred.+ Minimum five years of experience working in loan production, underwriting, audit, quality assurance or related environment required, preferably with a focus in Business Banking. Supervisory or management experience preferred.+ Knowledge of all aspects of lending life cycle and controls required to manage risks throughout. Sufficient product and process knowledge of lending and credit operations to provide credible challenge and advise business leaders of opportunities and deficiencies in a given control environment+ Familiarity with the design and execution of risk-based auditing and/or quality assurance strategies and their application to various loan products and processes.+ Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate and provide customer service to partners and stakeholders within the organization.+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products including PowerPoint and Excel required.+ Full time hours required with additional hours as necessary.**EEO Statement:**BECU is an equal opportunity employer.
