community resilience. Position Overview Mercy Flights is seeking a
strategic and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join
its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief
Executive Officer, the CFO provides strategic financial leadership
and oversees all fiscal operations of the organization. This
includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, revenue cycle
management, capital planning, debt management, compliance
oversight, and board-level financial reporting. The CFO serves as a
key business partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, supporting
long-range strategic planning, financial sustainability, and
operational growth. The role also serves as Mercy Flights’
designated Privacy Officer, leading the organization’s HIPAA
privacy compliance program. This is a highly visible executive
position requiring strong nonprofit financial leadership
experience, executive presence, and the ability to guide complex
financial and operational initiatives within a mission-driven
organization. Minimum Qualifications Required: 10 years of
progressive finance experience5 years in a CFO or equivalent senior
financial leadership roleExperience within an organization with an
annual operating budget of at least $20 millionBachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Preferred: Experience in a healthcare or nonprofit
environmentMaster’s degree (MBA, MAcc, MS Finance)CPA or CMA
certificationExperience in prehospital medical transportation
