Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:(Applicant/Employee must have ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations. Duties are not in order of priority): 1. Schedule appointments for patients, as needed.2. Ensure that managed care requirements are met prior to scheduling of patients for tests, procedures, return visits, etc.3. Assess each patient at check in to ensure accurate information is recorded concerning billing and personal data.4. Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner. Route incoming calls to the appropriate area.5. Ensure that patient/patient families are greeted in a courteous, helpful, timely and caring manner.6. Alert nursing personnel of patients' arrival for physician / nurse visit.7. Alert lab personnel of patients' arrival for lab testing.8. Manage patient flow, to assure quick patient processing.9. Summon clinical staff for urgent patients, as needed.10. Collect co-pays and payments in accordance with office policy.11. Balance cash drawer at the end of the day.12. Process on-line referrals on a daily basis if needed.13. Confirm appointments, on a daily basis, for next day appointments. Consult appointments need to be confirmed 1 week prior to appointment.14. Make proper discharge arrangements, assuring provider direction for follow up care and ancillary appointments are met.15. Maintain proper supply of all department forms and other office supplies.16. Provide general clerical support including copying, faxing, processing mail, and maintain waiting area.17. Pick up and process all papers in each provider out basket.18. Open and close office according to established procedure.19. Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers and other employees of Renal Care Consultants, PC both on the phone and in person.20. Maintain current knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:
