Description:Searching for an experienced project architect with extensive design experience to oversee all aspects of project design to join well-regarded commercial architectural firm in Southern Oregon with a satellite office in Bend. Ideal candidate has experience working on at least 10 projects valued between $1 million and $10 million (or 30-40 smaller projects). Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite are required, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp an added plus. Licensure preferred. Project types include commercial (office and retail), governmental, and community based (police and fire). Project architect will be responsible for the following duties:Early stage project design.Preparation of written documents for planning department.Creation of client design presentations. Schematic design tasks.Construction administration.Project correspondence. General design research.Building and site design on many levels, including working on between 3-5 projects simultaneouslyEntering into 3-5 projects at their current stage (conception to near completion) and taking lead, deciphering existing design and assessing what tasks must be completed in near term.Communication with current design principal architect and staff on all aspects of design and project progression.Understanding various parties involved in project (planning and building departments, contractors, consultants, clients) and being able to communicate in verbal, written, and/or visual fashion with all stakeholders. Collaborate with stakeholders in seeking to understand what product needs to be shared with which party, and be able to prepare that product or specific materials. Ability to use visual media to convey concepts is key.Work closely (during onboarding period) with current design principal architect.Inquisitive nature is key. Relocation cost reimbursement is available to those wishing to relocate to Medford or Bend for this role.
