We are seeking a team member interested in becoming a skilled Industrial Powder Coating Laborer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal and other surfaces using powder coating techniques. The Industrial Powder Coating Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of coated products, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.*Responsibilities:** *Surface Preparation:* Thoroughly clean and prepare surfaces for coating by using appropriate cleaning methods such as sandblasting, chemical treatment, and abrasion techniques.* *Coating Application:* Apply powder coating materials to surfaces using manual and automated equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to quality standards.* *Equipment Operation:* Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and ovens, while adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.* *Workplace Safety:* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.* *Collaboration:* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects*After training, job duties could include:** *Color and Texture Control:* Monitor and adjust coating parameters to achieve desired color, texture, and thickness specifications according to product requirements.* *Quality Inspection:* Perform visual inspections of coated products to identify defects, imperfections, or inconsistencies. Touch up or re-coat areas as necessary to maintain product quality.* *Curing and Finishing:* Place coated items in curing ovens and monitor curing times and temperatures to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the finish.* *Inventory Management:* Maintain accurate records of coating materials, consumables, and equipment supplies. Notify supervisors when stock levels are low to prevent interruptions in production.* *Maintenance:* Participate in routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and maintaining coating equipment, booths, and curing ovens to ensure their proper functionality.* *Process Improvement:* Contribute to the continuous improvement of coating processes by providing insights and suggestions for enhancing efficiency and product quality.*Qualifications:** Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, lift, and move heavy objects for extended periods.* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.* Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.* Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime as needed.*Wish List, not deal breakers:** High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.* Experience in an industrial powder coating environment a plus.* Familiarity with various coating materials, techniques, and equipment.* Ability to interpret and follow technical specifications and instructions.* Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality control.* Basic understanding of color theory and coating thickness requirements.* Technical certification in powder coating or related field.* Previous experience with automated powder coating systems.* Knowledge of basic maintenance and troubleshooting of coating equipment.If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for quality finishes and industrial manufacturing processes, we encourage you to apply for the position of Industrial Powder Coating Laborer.
