SummaryPerforms a variety of manual tasks in the maintenance of the
County streets and roadways; may be assigned to any division in the
Public Works Department.QualificationsTo perform this job

Education, Certification, &
ExperiencePrevious experience in the use of machinery and equipment
such as light automotive equipment and light to heavy
trucks.Knowledge of the operation of hand and power tools; i.e.,
drills, hammers, hand saws, chain saws, power saws; wrenches,
shovels, rakes, etc.Commercial Driver's License with Manual
Transmission Certification (Prior to employment)Flagging
Certificate (Prior to employment)First Aid Certification (May be
obtained after employment)CPR Certification (May be obtained after
employment)Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesLanguage Skills - Ability
to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence,
and memos. - Ability to write simple correspondence. - Ability to
effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization.Mathematical Skills - Ability to add and subtract
two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. -
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability -
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed
but uninvolved written or oral instructions. - Ability to deal with
problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized

of $18.73 per hour. - The pay range listed here reflects the FULL
pay range for this position for the current fiscal -year. - Salary
offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and
internal equity with other employees within the same job

responsibilities.Working ConditionsThe work environment

normal work schedule is 8 hours per day 5 days per week; exact

reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including
