About Business Intelligence Unit: The BI Unit drives data based decisions within the bank. Reporting in to Head Banking Operations and Transformation, this department works with all businesses of the bank including retail, small business and corporate to drive analytics. In terms of functions, the department has teams focused on all aspects of analytics for the bank including risk analytics, financial crime analytics, business and marketing analytics, building predictive scores, data engineering and business reporting. About the Role: The person would be a part of the Data Engineering team and would primarily focus on creation of data pipeline through ETL development/Applying Data Modelling techniques and work with the business analytics and reporting team in designing and delivering correct/high quality ETL solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and continuously develop data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities. Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that's geared towards the needs of end users. Maintain and improve already existing processes. Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable. Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions. Qualifications: E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science/ IT or any equivalent streams. Role Proficiencies: SQL/PLSQL (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure, dimensional modeling principles/techniques. Knowledge of at least one ETL tool like (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, etc.) Knowledge of various SQL/NoSQL data storage mechanisms and Big Data technologies (Hive, Spark, Hbase, HDFS, Python etc.) High attention to detail and Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
