About the Job We have an opening for a Supportive Housing Associate at our Swing Lane Supportive Housing program in Medford, OR. The Supportive Housing Associate motivates adults with serious mental illness to participate in a variety of skills training and other treatment activities. Their primary responsibilities include assisting tenants with health care arrangements; facilitating access to community resources and amenities; and assisting tenants with completing housing applications, move-in arrangements, medication administration, money management, symptom monitoring, and housekeeping. The Supportive Housing Associate encourages socialization, self-help, and communication, and gives daily support for problem solving. This position requires that you demonstrate empathy and active listening. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. If you have experience working as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness, then the Supportive Housing Associate position might be a good fit for you! Work Schedule: Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm, 8:00am Sunday through 8:00am Tuesday (Full Time Day and Overnight) What You'll Make$20.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE/Credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. About the Program Swing Lane (est. 2018) is a 7-unit Supportive Housing Program providing affordable housing to individuals living with a disability. The goal of this program is to reintegrate individuals into the community by stepping down into lower levels of care or housing as they progress in their recovery. Swing Lane offers permanent, intensive Supportive Housing as well as transitional Room & Board units for adults with a serious mental illness.ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. QMHA employees are also eligible to apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program. What You'll NeedYou must be registered as a QMHA through MHACBO or become registered within 30 days of hire. Eligibility for QMHA registration requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
