This position will provide support to Commnet Broadband's
Enterprise, Residential, and Carrier Sales teaThe Senior Network
Sales Engineer will have a key role in developing and maintaining
strategic account relationships that are vital to Commnet's success
in the market and achieving the Company's revenue and EBITDA goals.
This position provides technical sales and costing support for
service deployment and network expansion. The best fit for this
position will possess superior problem-solving skills with the
ability to find a solution for, or to deal proactively with
work-related problems. Additionally, the candidate must possess
strong leadership, project management, time management, analytical,
and overall judgement skills to succeed in the role. Strong
communication skills (written and oral) as well as a customer focus
are paramount, and the individual must be able to prioritize and
work under pressure. Must possess big picture understanding of
telecom networks (Ethernet, IP, Fixed Wireless, switching,
wireless, VOIP, SDWAN, microwave, satellite, etc.), the
technologies, process and systems used to engineer, design, build
and operate such networks. More importantly, understanding the
technology trends that are of importance to your customers and
having the skills to serve as a trusted advisor to customers in the
technology space.In addition, the Sr. Network Sales Engineer is
expected to act as a resource base for peers, provide mentoring and
assume a more proactive role in improving operations to meet the
Company's objectives. This position will require travel up to 25%
of the time and will report to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
- Customer Facing - Interact and work closely with stakeholders,
Sales Managers, Sales teams to actively participate in sales calls
and processes to help qualify and prioritize sales opportunities as
well as assist and participate in customer's meetings and
presentations.
- Respond to requests for sales engineering - Provide specialized
support to the Sales team by providing technical expertise, written
technical proposal documents for customers, network design
documents, and guidance in the planning and closing of sales
opportunities, as well as prepare and deliver customer
presentations to technical and executive audiences. Effectively
manage workload and priorities to provide quality pre-and
post-sales technical support to the sales organization in a timely
and accurate manner and driven by a commitment to customer service
that compels the Company to acquire and retain loyal customers by
anticipating and exceeding their expectations.
- Interact with other departments including Outside Plant,
Facilities, Legal, and so forth as necessary to assist Sales in
solution design.
- Provide Post-Sales Support - Develop and provide a clear,
accurate and comprehensive Scope of Work documents and designs that
can be used as input to customer proposals and/or RFP responses and
provide necessary detail and expectations to ensure an effective
hand-off to the implementation team and order processing.
- Provide Support to Product Development and Process Improvement
Teams as requested - Make recommendations to the Product teams on
new products or product enhancements that could enable Commnet
Broadband to better serve customer requirements and/or position
Commnet Broadband in a competitive advantage.
- The Sr. Network Sales Engineer will need an understanding of
basic project management skills and be able to communicate the
implementation processes of complex networks to a customer.
- The Sr. Network Sales Engineer will also be called upon to act
as a mentor to Network Sales Engineers as the organization
continues to grow. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing,
telecommunications or related field and/or relevant industry
certifications. Equivalent education, experience, and training may
be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Six (6) years of sales and/or engineering experience must have
resulted in demonstrable expertise with current and emerging
telecommunications technologies and associated protocols and are
comprised of the following:
- Three (3) years involved supporting network architecture in a
pre-or post-sales engineering capacity
- Two (2) involved sales or providing sales support that involved
direct contact with customers.
- Demonstrate proficiency working with software essential to the
job, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,
Salesforce, and Google Earth.
- Must be able to maintain a keen understanding of business
processes and network management systems as they relate to network
performance, network management and reporting.
- Must have strong Sales Ability - ability to use appropriate
interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance
of a product, service, or idea.
- Must be able to determine how a system should work and how
changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect
outcomes (systems analysis). About the Company:Commnet, based in
Castle Rock, Colorado, is focused on closing the digital divide in
Rural America and Tribal Lands in the Western U.S. Commnet has a
long and rich history of deploying communications in parts of

connectivity. Compensation & Benefits:
- Hiring Compensation Range: $125,000 - $155,000 base annual
salary (compensation determined by the applicant's education,
experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal
equity and alignment with market data.)
- Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate
in additional quarterly commissions incentives based on sales
objectives determined by CRO.
