automation systems. JOB SUMMARYThe mission of Cybertrol's
Industrial IT Group (IIT) is to provide the server, network, and
software infrastructure upon which world-class manufacturing
automation and information systems are built. In this role you will
be responsible for several different tasks to accomplish IIT's
mission including the setup and installation of virtualized
micro-datacenters, the design and deployment of plant-wide
industrial networks, and the configuration of software for handling
concerns such as thin client management, backups, cybersecurity,
and develops pipelines to name a few. You will be working within
cross-functional teams including Machine/Manufacturing Process
Automation, Hardware Design, and Manufacturing Intelligence
engineers to deliver comprehensive projects, and you will often
need to work directly with Cybertrol's customers to define
IIT-related project requirements. Up to 15% travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Configuration and commissioning of micro-datacenter hardware
and network equipment
- Configuration and commissioning of virtual environments
- Design and deployment of industrial networks
- Performing site operational technology assessments, developing
site assessment reports, and providing recommendations for
improvement
- Working directly with customers to help design solutions to
their problems
- Communicating effectively with project team members for status,
deliverables, and technical needs
- Leveraging experience to make technical decisions within
project teams
- Creating system documentation for both internal and external
audiences
- Mentoring junior engineers
- Providing customer support and communications
- Site commissioning start-ups
- Staying current with relevant technologies
- Complying with and contributing to the advancement of the
Information Systems (IS) Department's internal standards
- Participating in sales activities including customer visits and
trade shows
- Quote development REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other
IT-related field and 3+ years of professional experience or 5+
years of directly relevant professional experience
- Experience working with VMware vSphere, Cisco networking
hardware, and Windows Server OS
- Desire to utilize a wide array of tools and technologies to
solve a variety of customer problems
- Ability to identify and resolve requirement uncertainties
through customer collaboration
- Technical leadership capability to guide, mentor, and coach
team members working on complex projects
- Awareness of and mitigation strategies for technical debt
- Ability and desire to learn new things quickly and teach them
to others
- Proven troubleshooting and critical thinking proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines independently and
as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to communicate directly with customers
having varied technical backgrounds
- Ability to forge positive working relationships with a wide
variety of people

QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience within an industrial/manufacturing
environment
- Associate or higher-level certifications held with VMware,
Cisco, Windows Server, cybersecurity, and industrial
hardware/software
- DevOps/CI/CD experience
- Experience developing quotes for customer projects and
estimating work
- Familiarity and comfort with Scrum PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office desk/cubicle environment, extensive sitting, and
computer use
- Site Visits/Work (15%)
- Industrial manufacturing facilities around production equipment
and operations, management, engineering, and equipment supply
personnel with these possible conditions:
- Construction area site work around construction equipment and
personnel
- Hot, cold, and loud noises
- Stairs, ladders, indoors and outdoors
- Typical personal protective equipment: safety glasses,
steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and electrical safety PPE as
well as any other PPE specified by the customer
- Work may include working weekends, holidays, nightshift, and
extended hours to meet deadlines and commissioning requirements
