The Safety Coordinator / Covid-19 Compliance Specialist supports
all the functions of the Safety Department and ensures that all
employees, cast members, and guest artists adhere to OSF's Covid-19
Safety Protocols and all union requirements. This is a multifaceted
position requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Models and supports the mission and values of OSF:
Demonstrates inclusive behavior
Maintains a safe and anti-racist working environment
Recognizes micro-aggressions and interrupting behaviors that hinder
OSF's Inclusion, Diversity, Equi-ty and Access (IDEA) efforts
Supports and prioritizes OSF IDEA training and all mandatory
Serves as first level contact and supervision of safety procedures
pertaining to Covid-19 infection con-trol:
Ensures that all participants receive and comprehend OSF's Field
Manual for to Performances and Operations and on-campus work
Ensures that all participants follow OSF protocols on physical
distancing, hand washing, mask wear-ing, Covid-19 testing,
disinfecting surfaces; offering safety education as necessary
Oversees on-site Covid-19 testing and detailed record keeping
Maintains and educates use of sanitation kits; participates and
delegates disinfecting high-touch surfaces throughout work
Monitors up-to-date national and Jackson County Covid-19
Serves as a resource to answer questions and resolve issues,
offering preventative solutions
Oversees OSF work environments to ensure they meet safety
Suggests, implements, and documents safety measures to reduce
Documents and tracks safety program deficiencies and progress
Monitors safety and first aid equipment
Conducts inspection reports using AGMA/SDC Return to Stage &
Performing Arts Playbook check-list and Communicates across
departments to report findings and recommendations
Attends Company Meetings, Show Meetings, and Safety Meetings.
Assists Safety Manager with other safety, health, and

Collaborates with Safety Manager and others to achieve consistent

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Work Experience: Has worked in a professional environment.
Qualifications/Skills: Confident instructing and course-correcting
best practices in safety compliance. Thorough knowledge of
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Comfortable using
cloud-based information sharing systems. Must have a strong
understanding of record keeping and organization.
Physical Ability: Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
occasionally, walk or stand a minimum of four hours per shift,
climb stairs occasionally, and sit for extended periods of time
with or without work modifications. Able to work at heights.
Other Skills, Ability and/or Knowledge: Ability to pivot and
respond to last minute changes. Confidentiality required.
Special Hours Requirements: Standard work week is Tuesday - Sunday.
Night-time and weekend hours are required. Ability to work overtime
frequently, and at a short-time notice.
OSF requires that all employees working on site and for whom the
COVID-19 vaccine is authorized to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
OSF will require proof of an approved COVID-19 vaccination before
starting work on site. OSF will consider reasonable accommodations
for individuals with a valid medical or religious exemption from
receiving the COVID-19 vaccine
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in media, entertainment, film, and performing arts.
Experience in de-escalating conflict using clear communication,
both verbal and written. Experience working with unions. Attended
EDI or anti-racist trainings. Experience working with performers,
designers, artists. Covid-19 Compliance Certifications. Trained by
Health provider to administer Covid-19 testing. Environmental,
Health and Safety experience. Knowledge of safety practices and
industrial hygiene in production shops. Knowledge of AEA, IATSE,
OSHA, HIPAA, OHA, CDC guidelines.

Pay range : $23.01-$25.30 /hourly (Non-exempt)
