About the Team:

Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders that create expert research while bringing best practices, and research models to life across a broad range of world leading organizations. An Analyst is a trusted source of advice and deepens personal value for clients every day by providing high quality, timely insight and must-have-research; content that is provocative as well as pragmatic. Our Analysts meet with clients daily, via virtual meetings, face-to-face interactions at Gartner events, or at sales support visits to promote a clear vision for the evolving markets at the local, regional and global levels. These interactions help clients reach better decisions, solve complex issues and create solutions that lead to better performance and successful outcomes. To support these conversations you will research markets, practices and trends as well as produce written research for Gartner clients to download and apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct innovative, fact-based, must-have research and analysis around key initiatives and specific areas of expertise targeting client's most pressing objectives in the following subject areas:
  • CSP (Communications Service Providers) monetization technologies trends, strategies and best practices
  • Digital BSS, digital ecosystem platforms and management, technology capabilities to support new business models and services aggregation, API architecture, dynamic services support, data monetization technologies

  • Impact of new technologies (5G, LTE, SDN/NFV, SDWAN, slicing, network sharing, cloud, open-source, edge, AI/ML) on BSS

  • Multi Channel /Omni channel customer experience and journey management, Partner experience

  • BSS Architectures, Legacy BSS migration, BSS transformation best practices

  • CSP monetization and operations technologies trends, strategies and best practices (Architecture, Orchestration and Automation)

  • Competitive Scenario / Landscape, Vendor products, strategies, capabilities, SWOT

  • BSS investment/transformation strategies (when and where to invest/transform), Sourcing Choices (on premise, BSS as a service, etc.) and Models, Business case based investments

  • Partnership (Opportunities, Partner Candidates, Partnering Models, Partner candidates at various layers of CSP opportunities)

  • Research should support CSPs technology strategists (CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, I&O leaders), CSP product leaders, and Technology and service providers selling to CSPs

  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments within these specified areas, as well as applicable adjacent areas
  • Predict how specific markets are developing, and help clients in their selection process and assist vendors in overall market positioning
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions across a team of analysts
  • Write high quality, clear, actionable, "must-have research" documents
  • Respond to client questions, create materials for and deliver to clients in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations
  • Proactively support Advisory, Research Engagement Services (RES), Sales and Service and other internal stakeholders across relevant research key initiatives and on client calls
  • Proactively work with the wider sales organization and service partners to drive proactive engagement and help clients/prospects make progress against their critical priorities to grow their business
  • Create and deliver high value presentations and other materials at Gartner conferences, and in small groups of clients and/or prospects
  • Provide high quality and timely research peer review
  • Build credibility as an industry leader to represent Gartner research, methodology and strategy
  • Lead or participate in research community meetings to discuss research issues and collaborate effectively with peers
  • Support more junior team members' development through mentorship and coaching

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, supporting the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality material
  • Strong written and verbal interaction, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Demonstrated superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges and demonstrate learning agility
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrates executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders
  • Great team player with intrinsic motivation to collaborate with peers to write provocative and pragmatic research notes
  • Subject matter expertise comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Flexible thinker adept at change and experienced navigating highly matrixed environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
