Database AdministratorJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Database Administrator for a contract position that can be worked 100% remotely. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Maintain SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGRES instances, schemas, and tables located on the Amazon Cloud
• Maintain SQL Server instances, schemas, and tables hosted at Client
• Create basic data models and documentation
• Identify unused or duplicate tables for deletion
• Implement best practices for SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGRES
• Respond to and carry out database work requests
• Perform performance tuning and optimization as applicable
• Create and maintain ETL (Extraction, Translate, Load) for data submissions
• Create data sets for Tableau use
• Assist with database aspect for projects including setting up a data warehouse and software rewrites
• Create documentation for work completed
• Provide knowledge transfer to client's staff
• Perform other related duties as assignedQualifications:
  • Five (5) years' combined experience in SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGRES database management, which includes at least six (6) months of experience in each of these databases
  • Five (5) years' experience in database migration using ETL tool(s)
  • Five (5) years' experience with performance analysis tool(s)
  • Two (2) engagements lasting at least six (6) months each in lead database administration rolesPreferred:
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Experience with data modeling
    • Experience with advanced analytical design tools
    • Experience with disaster and recovery planning
    • Experience with cost benefit analysis
