Job We have an opening for a Supported Employment Specialist
position. Make a positive impact on someone's life through
supporting employment and education goals! Build independence and
stability with people experiencing mental health challenges by
identifying skills, connecting to community resources, networking
with employers, and career coaching. The Supported Employment
Specialist provides culturally competent services as part of a
multi-disciplinary treatment team, toward the goal of competitive
employment in the community. This position counsels individuals to
help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral
problems affecting their vocational and educational situations.
They also establish and maintain connections with businesses and
education institutions to learn about opportunities. The Supported
Employment Specialist performs analysis and interventions as needed
for individuals, such as logistics of transportation and benefits
planning. They meet standards for timely completion of service
documents and track client progress, employment status, and
releases of information and authorizations. Regular travel is
required between various programs/locations within the Rogue
Valley. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Full
Time Day) What You'll Make $3,813 - $4,160 per month
DOE/Credentials. Additional 5% Language Differential offered for
Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).
About the Program Supported Employment is a service that provides
people with disabilities the help they need to get and keep a job
that matches their interests, skills and abilities. Support is
available to help identify a job goal, locate a job, learn the job,
and maintain that job over time. We partner with individuals to
make sure they have the support they need throughout the process.
ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public
Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. QMHA employees are also
eligible to apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment
Program. What You'll Need You must be registered as a QMHA through
MHACBO or become registered within 30 days of hire. Eligibility for
QMHA registration requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below:
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology,
Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field;
- OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health
experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in
a supervised setting;
- OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in
addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience
and training Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon
driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and have the
ability to pass a DHS criminal background check. About Us
