The Cook will plan, purchase and prepare meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for our program. They will drive to local stores to purchase food and beverage items ensuring resident dietary needs are met and that the house is stocked with daily food needs. They will have knowledge of proper use of commercial grade kitchen appliances and set-up and break down workstations, tools, equipment and supplies. The Cook will also monitor food quantity and control waste and maintain all food service areas clean and sanitary while following all HACCP food safety guidelines.----Work Schedule:--Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (Full Time, Day). Work schedule may vary based on program need.--What You'll Make$20.00 - $24.00 per hour--DOE/Credentials.Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).--About the ProgramTwin Pines is a 16-bed Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) located in Central Point, Oregon. Twin Pines RTF serves adults living with a serious mental illness, half of whom are under Civil Commitment and half of whom have been deemed unable to Aid & Assist in their own defense.----ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.----What You'll NeedMUST--have TWO (2) years of professional cooking experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the positionMUST be willing and able to work with individuals suffering with mental illnessCulinary Arts education preferred--Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record,--and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check. ----This position requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. It may require the ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable. In addition, you must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.
