This is a Restaurant Operations Assistant position with a small
company managed by a cohesive team of professionals that is looking
to increase our capability. This position earns a competitive wage
of $14.50 - $15.50/hourly, depending on experience. We provide

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Responsible for day-to-day activities of barback, server, busser,
dishwasher and cashier duties for the restaurant.
Role Accountabilities & Expectations:
- Write down all food and drink orders and accurately enter into
POS.
- Follow all proper cash handling procedures.
- Conduct final quality check on food before it is run to the
Guest; maintain specifications by only serving items made
properly.
- Deliver and/or carry (with or without trays) with a sense of
urgency to the correct tables.
- Clean bar and table surfaces throughout the shift.
- Wipe down chairs, railings and other high-touch surfaces.
- Remove and dispose of bags from trash receptacles in and around
the bar area.
- Remove used glassware and other utensils from customers' tables
during their stay.
- Sweep and mop in and around bar service and kitchen areas.
- Gather and clear all tableware soiled through use and delivers
to dishwasher.
- Scrape, rack and stack glassware/plateware/silverware in
dishwashing area.
- Wash silverware, plateware, glassware and pots/pans
properly.
- Ensure organization and cleanliness of dish area.
- Sweep, mop and wash pots, dishes, etc. by using hand or dish
equipment or cooler detailing.
- Remove waste, garbage and recyclable materials from kitchen
area to appropriate receptacles. Prioritize and complete all
assigned station tasks, sidework and station set up for maximum
productivity and efficiency.
- Complete all opening, running and closing duties.
- Answering customer questions and routing customer complaints to
the appropriate staff member.
- Assist with taking customer orders and processing orders in the
point-of-sale system during peak business hours.
- Stock bar items such as glassware, straws, toothpicks, napkins,
garnishes, ice, towels and cleaning supplies (this may include
restocking for bar opening or closing).
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS FOR
A RESTAURANT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years working in a high-volume restaurant;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication
skills.
- Able to interact professionally with other departments and
outside contacts.
- Able to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in
a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Good judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Health permit/food safety and Alcohol Awareness. Team members
are required to obtain cards individually and provide proof of
possession prior to the first day of employment subject to local US
laws.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with drug free workplace
policies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as
business demands.
- Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking
and reaching.
- Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from a lower to higher
position or moving objects horizontally, from position to
position.
- Must be able to carry loads and the ability to lift 25
pounds.
- The noise level is typical for bowling.
- Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without
correction.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color,
peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
