to find a qualified Infusion RN in Crescent City, California,
95531! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift:
8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in infusion nursing
required. License: Valid RN License required. Certifications: BLS,
Chemo (ONS/ONCC) Must-Have: Chemo certified, Experience with Epic
charting system. Description: Chemo Certified Infusion RN needed.
Certification Requirements include RN License and BLS/ONS Chemo
Therapy Immunotherapy Provider Card. Shifts are days, 5 days a
week, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekends. Patient
ratios during day shifts are typically 3 patients per nurse.
Previous charge experience is preferred. Community hospital
experience is preferred. Work involves outpatient oncology infusion
services, including chemotherapy administration. Specialty
experience with various cancers, including bladder, breast,
colorectal, kidney, leukemia, lung, melanoma, multiple myeloma,
lymphoma, ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancers is important.
Skills include administering chemotherapy, recognizing and managing
side effects, and patient/family education and support. Experience
in care and management of ports and central lines is necessary.
Must understand isolation precautions and neutropenic precautions.
Management of cytotoxic spills and monitoring chemotherapy is
required. A background in evidence-based practice and patient
safety is essential. Candidates should be prepared for rapid
interventions and assessments as needed. Interdisciplinary support
is available within the department. All certifications must be
valid and in hand prior to submission. Candidates must provide a
comprehensive work history going back 7 years. No background hits
or DUIs should be present. Familiarity with modules and training
during orientation is expected. A commitment to quality patient
