Job Description Job Description Job Title: Urology Advanced
Practice Professional (NP/PA) Position Summary: We are seeking a
skilled Urology Advanced Practice Professional (Nurse Practitioner
or Physician Assistant) to provide comprehensive care for patients
with urologic conditions. The APP will work collaboratively with
urologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in
outpatient and inpatient settings, including evaluation, treatment,
and follow-up management. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose,
and manage patients with urologic conditions, including urinary
tract disorders, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia,
incontinence, and urologic cancers. Conduct patient histories and
physical examinations, review diagnostic studies, and develop care
plans in collaboration with urologists. Manage pre-operative and
post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up
visits. Perform procedures within scope of practice, such as
catheter management, bladder instillations, cystoscopy assistance,
and office-based procedures. Prescribe medications and order
diagnostic tests in accordance with scope of practice and clinical
protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including
nursing, oncology, radiology, and primary care. Document patient
encounters accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory and
institutional standards. Participate in quality improvement
initiatives and continuing education. Qualifications: Master’s
degree in Nursing (NP) or completion of an accredited Physician
Assistant program. Active NP or PA licensure in the state of
employment. National certification as an NP or PA. Prior experience
in urology or a surgical specialty preferred. Strong clinical
assessment, procedural, and communication skills. Work Environment:
Outpatient urology clinic with potential inpatient or procedural
responsibilities. Collaborative, team-based practice with
opportunities for professional development. Requirements Must
maintain state certification and/or licensure.
