level of “High Intermediate”. Schedule: Monday-Friday (negotiable-
5-8’s or 4-10’s) Overview The Occupational Therapist (OT) works as
a vital member of an interdisciplinary team utilizing their
training and clinical specialty to assist children and/or adults in
maintaining/gaining independence. This occurs through the
development of interventions that focus on enhancing existing
skills, creating opportunities for growth and increased
independence, promoting wellness, remediating or restoring skills
and modifying or adapting the environment or activity.
Responsibilities Provides OT related assessments and treatment
planning, works directly with the interdisciplinary team,
individual, families and others involved in the individual’s life.
Educates rehabilitative staff on implementing interventions,
providing guidance and mentoring. Works in both outpatient programs
with children and/or adults and associated agency staff The OT also
helps to educate and support agency clients, family members and
significant others through the recovery process. May perform
screenings and/or assessments and education in a number of
environments which may include schools, homes, residential programs
and other appropriate sites. Works closely with both internal and
external referral resources to insure access to appropriate forms
of care. Qualifications Candidate must possess a degree in
Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
Oregon License as Occupational Therapist or ability to gain license
within 6 months. Candidate must be able to work independently and
flexibly, under general supervision. Computer proficiency required
to use Electronic Health Records effectively. Must pass
state-required background and DMV checks; possess a valid OR
driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Candidate must
