care and sexuality education in Southwestern Oregon for over 55
years. PPSO provides more than 30,000 patient visits each year at
four health centers and via telehealth. PPSO is also regarded as
the region’s most respected provider of medically accurate
sexuality education for young people and adults, as well as
training programs for professionals who work with youth and
families. Education and training programs make over 10,000 contacts

cervical cancer screenings, well-woman annual exams, birth control,

Summary The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for
fostering a high-performing, equitable, mission-driven workforce
through effective leadership for licensed staff, collaboration and
support for the clinical leadership team, and quality health care
for patients. RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct Patient Care Works
approximately 40% of the time (typically 1 - 2 days per week)
providing direct patient care in the health center, and dependent
on organizational priorities. Responsible for assessing, planning,
and administering health care which is individualized to the
patient and consistent with the Medical Standards and Guidelines of
PPFA and PPSO. Ensure health center doors stay open by providing
coverage for licensed staff on an as needed basis. Participates in
health center efforts to achieve established goals for
productivity. Adheres to affiliate policies on professionalism,
wait time in health center and on the phone, and the system for
addressing patient complaints. Establishes and maintains positive
working relationships with other providers who constitute our
referral network. Clinical Supervision & Team Leadership Leads by
example—modeling trauma-informed care, accountability, and
collaborative practice in alignment with PPSO’s values and mission.
Participates in the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of
clinical team members in collaboration with the clinical leadership
team. Conducts medical skills proficiency appraisals for
clinicians. Follows up with retraining and/or disciplinary action
from these, and routine audits, as indicated. Supports Health
Center Managers’ evaluations of licensed staff to achieve adherence
to MS&Gs, sustained productivity, and customer service
standards, and financial solvency of PPSO. Assists in training
licensed and non-licensed staff members on new/updated guidelines
or health center processes. Provides day-to-day clinical
consultation support to health center clinicians, health center
managers, RNs. Conducts regular 1:1s and performance reviews with
centralized follow up team; supports professional development
through coaching, observation, and feedback; and assures adequate
scheduling for centralized follow up team for shifts. Serves as a
clinical resource and escalation point for complex patient care
decisions, supporting real-time problem solving and reinforcing a
culture of clinical excellence. Partners with the Health Center
Manager and/or Patient Services Director to maintain appropriate
staffing, ensure efficient clinical workflows, and foster a
cohesive team environment. Supports the maintenance of RN Standing
Orders and Standard Operating Procedures, with consultation and
oversight from the Medical Director. Generates timely and accurate
documentation as required by established protocol. Operational
Collaboration & Quality Improvement Coordinates with Quality and
Risk Management team to review and follow up on clinical incident
reports; develops, implements, and evaluates action plans related
to clinical incidents. Coordinates with Patient Services Operations
Leadership to assist in efforts to achieve health center and
affiliate goals for clinical productivity and revenue cycle.
Collaborates with clinical leadership to supervise, coach, and
support all licensed staff, ensuring consistent clinical quality,
adherence to scope of practice and alignment with PPSO
organizational standards of care. Partners with the Patient
Services training team to ensure licensed staff receive appropriate
onboarding, ongoing training and competency support including
identifying training needs and reinforcing best practices in
clinical care for all patient services staff. Assists in assuring
CLIA, OSHA, state and local regulations are implemented and in
compliance. Assists in reviewing and updating PPSO policies and
procedures to maintain alignment with PPFA Medical Standards &
Guidelines (MS&G) and PPSO’s operational priorities. Early
adapter of expanded services, with a twofold purpose of supporting
increased access to more specialized services, as well as
privileging APCs in these services, as indicated. Facilitates
cross-program sharing of information, feedback, and updated
protocols to ensure streamlined patient care and experience between
the centralized follow up team and in-clinic team. Delivers
services in a manner that provides objectivity and supports the
entirety of services provided by Planned Parenthood of Southwestern
Oregon. Equity and Culture Participate and engage in DEIB
initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: The responsibilities

Minimum Required Qualifications Current Oregon licensure as a nurse
practitioner, certified nurse midwife or physician’s assistant, or
ability to obtain upon hire. At least two (2) years’ leadership
experience in a clinical setting. Current American Heart
Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Required to
obtain ACLS certification within 6 weeks of hire. Preferred
Qualifications Previous experience providing reproductive and
sexual health care including abortion services, ultrasound, LARC,
STI, and other family planning services. Familiar with health
center funding sources, billing systems and medical coding.
Demonstrated proficiency with Personal Computers (PCs), Microsoft
Suite, Internet applications, and electronic health records.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation in medical records and
consistent compliance on chart audits. Professional Competencies

adapts well to change. Travel & Availability Requirements Travel
may be required on short notice to provide clinical coverage when
clinicians are out sick or unavailable. Routine travel is expected
and flexibility in scheduling is essential. Must reside within a
reasonable commuting distance from primary health center, or be
willing to relocate.
