Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • 12-hour orientation required • Patient ratio 2:1 during days and nights • Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg with nurse/patient ratios 1:4-5 • Every other weekend requirement • On call/call off based on census • Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Daily census of 4-6 patients in a 6-bed ICU with 9 total rooms • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be AHA certified) • BSN degree required • California RN license required • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required • Epic charting system experience preferred • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing • Skills include ventilator management, CVVHD/CRRT, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and various critical care procedures • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology • Modules completed during orientation (1-5 hours average, recorded through e-learning) • 7-year work history verification required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility providing critical care services with a focus on advanced patient care.
