Registered Nurse (RN) | Obstetrics/Gynecology Location: Crescent City, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,947 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/12/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics/Gynecology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in obstetrics License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, AFM required; additional certifications such as ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced, FHM preferred Must-Have: Must have nursery experience Description: OB RN needed for Obstetrics unit. Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week. The candidate must possess strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, as well as newborn care. Expected patient ratios are manageable, averaging three patients per nurse. The role involves providing care for obstetrical patients, including triaging and stabilizing those with complications. Key responsibilities include administering medication, monitoring fetal heart rates, and assisting with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries. Experience with various clinical procedures in the obstetrics field is essential. The nurse will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, which includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Knowledge of charting systems, particularly electronic health records, is preferred. The candidate should be prepared to float occasionally due to census needs. Qualified applicants should have excellent communication skills and a passion for maternal and newborn care.
