The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience. The position requires valid state RN licensure. Candidates must have current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Experience with ventilated patients is essential. Candidates must be comfortable with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4-5. There may be a possibility of floating to other units as needed. The nurse will be expected to handle a variety of critical care tasks. Responsibilities include managing central lines, ventilator care, and administering medications. Nurses will be involved in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. The role includes collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Candidates should be prepared for weekend shifts as part of the schedule. Adherence to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions is required.
