In fact, Asante accounts for three of the five Oregon hospitals to achieve this rare honor. Asante is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiothoracic team in Medford, Oregon. The thoracic Nurse Practitioner will be working with a team of 2 cardiothoracic surgeons and 7 NPs/PAs, Practice Manager, care transformation nurse, MA's and support staff. The thoracic NP will have primary responsibilities of inpatient rounding, inpatient medical management, and discharge planning coordination for all postoperative thoracic surgery patients. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the outpatient thoracic clinic including but not limited to referral intake, conducting postoperative physical exams, medication management, care management and coordinating referrals to medical oncology and pulmonology. Will consider applicants who have medical oncology and/or pulmonary experience.Licensure/CertificationsNurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate. Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
