Job DescriptionMercy Flights is accepting applications for a
full-time MIH Provider - Paramedic. The Mobile Integrated
Healthcare (MIH) Provider has the primary responsibility for the
care and management of the clients enrolled in the Mobile
Integrated Healthcare (MIH) Program will be responsible for
assessment, interaction, and treatment of those patients enrolled
in the Mobile Integrated Healthcare Program, including facilitating
continuity of care by interacting with their Physician and
alternative healthcare facilities. This role will also be
responsible for participating in advanced medical research and
treatment modalities as directed by the Medical Director, MIH
Program Coordinator and other operational support functions as
assigned. This role will assist with continuing education of field
crews as well as education and training of future Mobile Integrated
Healthcare Providers. Additional duties include leadership roles
and mentoring as assigned.Position Information:
- Full-time, twelve (12) hour shifts;
- Starting Pay rate: Market comparable (Depending on
Qualifications);

Responsibilities:
- Responsible to participate in advanced medical treatment
modalities as directed by the Medical Director and the MIH Program
Coordinator;
- Responsible to function as a Paramedic performing BLS and ALS
patient care activities and performing direct patient
assessments;
- Responsible to work with Coordinated Care Organization (CCO)
Providers and other community partners to provide the highest
quality patient care;
- Responsible to communicate with multiple agencies to facilitate
continuity of care objectives ensuring quality patient care;
- Responsible to participate in data collection and research, and
to accurately and thoroughly document the care of the patient in a
timely manner to meet the required data elements of the
program;
- Responsible to provide a safe out-of-hospital environment for
self, patients, co-workers, and public through appropriate use of
personal protective equipment in observation of all company
policies and guidelines;
- Responsible to thoroughly and accurately complete
computer-based Patient Care Reports after gathering pertinent
patient health information. Patient Care Reports must be completed
in a timely manner and in accordance with Oregon State Law, company
protocols, and guidelines;
- Responsible to participate in activities that promote the
Mobile Integrated Healthcare Program and the organization;
- Responsible to assist in developing and growing the MIH program
to address community, patients and the company's mission and
goals;
- Responsible to assist in development of processes and
educational materials pertaining to Mobile Integrated
Healthcare;
- Responsible to complete required education for program as
assigned;
- Required to attend all mandatory meetings, trainings, and
in-services;
- Responsible to maintain a professional and cooperative working
relationship with allied health, pre-hospital, in-hospital, first
responders and public safety personnel;
- Work attendance and punctuality is an essential component of
this job.Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required;
- Current Oregon Paramedic License;
- Current Nationally Registered Paramedic certification;
- BLS, ACLS and PALS or PEPP certifications. Required to obtain
eighteen (18) months of start date;
- Instructor Certification in ACLS, PEPP or related Pediatric
course: ITLS or PHTLS, AMLS preferred;
- Oregon Driver's License;
- Two (2) years experience as a Paramedic on a 911 transporting
ambulance or equivalent community health experience;
- Requires the ability to perform the essential physical
requirements of the job as indicated in the job description;
- Ability to provide compassionate, caring patient care in
accordance with company policies and guidelines;
- Must be able to make sound decisions in critical or stressful
situations;
- Must be able to professionally and effectively communicate
