Description RN - Post Anesthesia Care Unit - Providence Medford Medical Center Work schedule: 8 hour shifts, shift start times 11:30a-12p, Mondays-Fridays Hiring Bonus: $12,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit that will provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment; accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan; and practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Required qualifications:

  • Nursing degree/diploma upon hire.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher within three (3) years of hire -OR- equivalent education/experience
  • A RN with twenty (20) years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN
  • Unencumbered RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered
  • If RN holds a multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:
  • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),
  • American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), -OR-
  • Military Training Network (MTN) - (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be from American Heart Association (AHA) -OR- Military Training Network (MTN) within three (3) months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be from American Heart Association (AHA) -OR- Military Training Network (MTN) within three (3) months of hire -OR- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within three (3) months of hire
  • One (1) acute care experience working with the patient population similar to Post Anesthesia Care Unit -OR- completion of the specialty residency located at Providence Medford Medical Center Preferred qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing upon hire
