Come join our hard-working team and become part of an organization that is a leader in the industry, and for a reason.Take a look at what we do: Job Summary:The Director of Operations directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Set operations policies and standards, including determining safety procedures for the handling of dangerous goods.Plan, organize, or manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.Negotiate and authorize contracts with equipment and materials suppliers and monitor contract fulfillment.Collaborate with other managers or staff members and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.Analyze expenditures and other financial information to develop plans, policies, or budgets for increasing profits or improving services.Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, or meeting with individual staff members.Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints.Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.Direct and coordinate, through subordinates and activities, to obtain use of equipment, facilities, and human resources.Coordinate scheduling and monitor workflow, backlog, and quality.Direct activities of staff performing repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and facilities.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.2 - 3 years of manufacturing experience.5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Requirements:WHY WORK AT HIGHWAY?
