Job Title: Employee Performance Management Specialist
Classification: Full-Time, Non- Exempt, At-Will
Reports to: Sen ior HR Business Partner
Department: Operations
Location: South San Francisco (May work on-site at a Race
Communications office location; telecommuting agreeable; occasional
travel will be required )
Please Note: This is not a remote position for candidates outside
of our area, as you will be required to visit work sites within our
territories.
Summary:
The Employee Performance Management Specialist c oordinates and
administers H uman R esources activities and programs primarily
focused on employee performance and engagement . This role develop
s and implement s process es and procedures t o promote employee
performance , guide disciplinary action , measure satisfaction and
engagement , and administer a program of rewards, incentives, and
recognition. This role works to enhance the ability of our team
members to successfully execute their duties and contribute to the
success of their teams and our company. This role will support and
inform HR processes including but not limited to onboarding,
training, compliance, employee relations, performance management,
policy development, payroll/benefits administration, workplace
safety .
Qualifications and Experience:
Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
Minimum of 18 years of age
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field of study, is
preferred
Minimum of three years related work experience in a developing HR
related role, or equivalent combination of education, volunteer,
and/or work experience will be considered
Proven knowledge and understanding of Federal and California human
resources practices, procedures, and employment/labor laws and
regulations
Working knowledge of HRIS systems - experience with ADP Workforce
Now or TotalSource is highly preferred
Proven experience in managing sensitive and confidential
information
Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Proficient use of MS office applications including Teams, Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint; teleconferencing applications
Functional use of common office equipment, computers, and office
software
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English as the
primary language used in the workplace
Spanish bilingual skills are desirable
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performance and Engagement functions:
Administer and sustain a comprehensive performance evaluation plan
within the ADP TotalSource platform
Develop and sustain an Employee Engagement and Satisfaction
Survey
Administer and utilize an integrated rewards, recognition,
incentive, and culture platform
Support and coach managers and employees on performance process,
constructive feedback, and corrective action
Support performance and engagement throughout the employee life
cycle, including onboarding, development and retention, and
offboarding
Maintain documentation and coordinate with HR team members,
including Training and Development Specialist, Safety and
Compliance Specialist, HR Business Partner(s) as well as other key
stakeholders throughout Race Communications
Organize event strategies to deliver meaningful experiences to
foster culture, community, equity, and inclusion.
Human Resource support functions:
Assists with administration of company-wide human resources
policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated
corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements
Supports employee onboarding by collaborating with other
departments to improve new hire experience and processes
Assists with offboarding process, supports exit interviews and
post-employment feedback
Supports disciplinary process and recommends corrective action in
cooperation with managers, employees, and HR Business
Partner(s).
Utilizes ADP TotalSource platform to HR functions including,
accessing resources, initiating support tickets, timekeeping, and
generating reports
Supports in organizing quarterly and annual employee performance
reviews
Maintains employee files and employee benefits data and reports in
electronic form
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests
and questions; enhances job satisfaction by resolving issues
promptly
Ensures compliance with labor regulations
Ensures required labor law posters are in place
Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical
functions
Supports other HR team members and Recruiting team
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
