Job Details

Position Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects and implementation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) as directed by the VP of HR and COO as needed.

Responsible for providing input and change as needed for the CBA during negotiation and renewal.

Responsible for maintaining high level of leadership and guidance to the facility.

Conduct investigations as needed in regards to union violation or other violation of company policy.

Responsible for full cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions for the Klamath Falls location.

Promote and develop positive employee relations by providing direct support to the all on-site plants.

Responsible for onboarding of all new hires to include new hire paperwork and benefit orientation.

Responsible for all affirmative action tracking and reporting for the Klamath Falls location.

Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the location.

Coordinate with VP of HR to maintain accurate job descriptions for entire company.

Respond to worker's compensations claims as necessary. Responsible for entering 801 information into the system timely.

Manage FMLA/OFLA, including tracking leave.

Responsible for compliance of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

Assist with plant site Safety Program by partnering with the safety team.

Oversees termination process.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Degree in Human Resources, Business, related field or equivalent experience.

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including collective bargaining agreements, recruitment, compensation practices, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.

Previous Management Or Leadership Experience Required.

Previous experience in a union environment and negotiating union contract required.

Prior experience with recruiting to include diversity outreach.

Strong conflict management skills.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Highest possible ethical and professional standards.

Regularly ascend/descend stairs to carry out daily duties.
