Job category: Leadership Job link: We are seeking a Vice
President of Operations to lead our operations team for 6 small
assisted living homes in our Southwest Oregon region. We believe
that it is an honor and a privilege to care for our elders and make
this time in their lives not the end, but another chapter. ** We
are looking for someone who currently lives in or is willing to
relocate to the Southwest Oregon area (our 6 homes are in Medford,
Grants Pass, and Roseburg - in or close to one of those cities is
ideal). GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES With considerable independence
and through the supervision of Directors of Operations and as a key
member of the Ashley Manor leadership team, this position is
responsible for the quality assurance of all activities related to
regulatory compliance and the successful function, stability, and
profitable growth of all areas of the business within a designated
state. Plans, implements, coordinates, directs and evaluates
operations, compliance, sales, marketing, and staffing related
functions, programs, and performance. Directly accountable to the
President/CEO. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -- Develop and attain business
and strategic plans to maximize growth and profitability; -- Hire
and provide training and supervision to Directors of Operations; --
Mentor and develop future leaders of the company; -- Develop stable
and effective teams within Operations and Nursing -- Identify,
analyze, and recommend additional business growth and revenue
opportunities; -- Execute, and ensure priorities are consistent
with, company-wide strategic initiatives; -- Implement and enforce
regulations, policies, and procedures; -- Ensure customer
satisfaction and positive working relationships with staff,
vendors, outside agencies, local and state governing agencies,
residents and families; -- Perform reviews of financials for
profitability and improvement opportunities; -- Deliver periodic
reports regarding effectiveness and performance; -- Promote and
advocate the company values and loyalty; -- Research, present and
implement improvements to resident care and other industry
practices; -- Negotiate contracts, vendor pricing, and other
financial commitments. ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED -- As
necessary, perform the work required in any of the positions
supervised; -- Coordination of new building growth and acquisition
of property and companies; -- May approve compensation adjustments,
supply or grocery expenses, resident admissions; -- Review audits
of facilities for regulatory and policy compliance; -- Participate
in organizations and lobbying to support company, industry and
community interests; -- Perform related duties as required. JOB
SPECIFICATIONS -- A minimum of 7 years of experience in health care
or a related field, or 3 years of experience with a Bachelor's
Degree in a health or business related field; -- Previous
supervisory experience in health care or related required; --
Administrator License or Certificate for state(s) of operation is
required; -- Certifications in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR), and medications required; -- Skill in
effective training methods for both small and large groups; --
Knowledge of regulations for all states of operations; -- Knowledge
of fire codes and other safety practices; -- Knowledge of
purchasing and budgeting procedures; -- Knowledge of the resident
admission process; -- Ability to travel extensively and spend
significant time outside of immediate area; -- Ability to establish
and maintain effective working relationships with employees,
facilities, vendors, outside agencies, residents and families; --
Ability to supervise and motivate staff; -- Ability to communicate
effectively verbally and in writing; including presenting to large
groups; -- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage time
efficiently; -- Ability to delegate; -- Ability to use office
equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, email --
Ability to use computer programs such as email, Microsoft Word, and
Microsoft Excel; -- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee
and facility issues and records; OTHER REQUIREMENTS -- Complete
continuing education required by the state licensing agency and in
management, communication, and related areas; -- Must pass a
criminal background check; -- Must possess valid driver's license,
reliable transportation, and personal automobile insurance;
