below. Sales Engineer – USAF / USSF Programs The Sales Engineer
serves as a technical subject matter expert supporting customer
engagements, proposals, and industry representation to accelerate
growth across U.S. Space Force (USSF) and U.S. Air Force (USAF)
accounts. This role bridges mission needs and Vantor’s technical
capabilities by translating customer requirements, identifying
capability gaps, and aligning Vantor products and solutions to
operational challenges. The Sales Engineer works closely with
Product, Engineering, and Business Development teams to deliver
compelling technical solutions that drive customer satisfaction and
deal conversion. The role is primarily focused on pre-sales
technical engagement , including demonstrations, solution
workshops, and technical validations. Integration support is
available from engineering teams as needed. Compensation Structure:
80% base salary / 20% Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) Responsibilities
Act as a trusted technical advisor for USSF and USAF customers,
translating mission needs into innovative, mission-ready solutions
leveraging Vantor products and capabilities. Partner with Product,
Engineering, and Account Leads to align customer requirements with
Vantor capabilities and product roadmaps. Translate customer
requirements into actionable product feature requests and
participate in decomposition, scoping, and prioritization
discussions with Product teams. Lead and support technical
discussions, solution workshops, product demonstrations, and
technology validations that showcase Vantor’s value. Ensure high
levels of customer technical satisfaction throughout the pre-sales
engagement process. Provide customer and market feedback to inform
product development, competitive positioning, and proposal
strategies. Represent Vantor as a technical subject matter expert
in customer engagements and relevant Air Force and Space Force
industry forums. Support business development initiatives including
technical contributions to white papers, RFP responses, and
solution strategies for USSF/USAF opportunities. Maintain awareness
of the competitive landscape and ensure Vantor solutions are
effectively positioned across customer missions and operational use
cases. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related
technical field (advanced degrees preferred but not required).
Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required. Willingness
and eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. 3–6 years of
experience in a relevant technology domain, preferably in AI/ML,
computer vision, or advanced data analytics. Familiarity with U.S.
Government infrastructure, mission environments, and security
requirements. Experience working with cloud-based data systems and
machine learning pipelines (e.g., AWS). Strong software development
experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages. Preferred
Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance Experience supporting DoD or
IC mission environments Background in AI/ML, computer vision, or
data-driven operational systems Experience supporting technical
pre-sales, demonstrations, or solution engineering Pay

starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and
is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not
limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills,
geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with
the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and
skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper
end of the pay range. ? The pay for this position within Colorado
is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually. ? The pay for this position
within New Jersey is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually. ? The pay
for this position within Delaware is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00
annually. ? The pay for this position within the Washington, DC
metropolitan area is: $165,000.00 - $275,000.00 annually. ? The pay
for this position within California is: $173,000.00 - $253,000.00
annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as
an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as
such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
