Eagle Point School District 9 - www.eaglepnt.k12.or.us Travel Southern Oregon - https://www.southernoregon.org/Position Details: Title: Special Education Teacher (Resource) K-12 Placement (location): Crater Lake Academy Supervisor: Director of Special Services Contract Days: 191 days to begin August 2022 Salary Range: $42,602 - $83,145 plus master's stipend of $2,130 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits) Stipend: Special Education Teachers receive a Federal Compliance Stipend of $3,000 each year Position Closing Date: Open until filled, screening to begin as soon as March 30, 2022 Description: This position requires an Oregon Teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education or the ability to obtain the same license prior to the start date. A Special Education Teacher evaluates, designs, and implements all aspects of students' specifically designed instruction for children with disabilities. The teacher helps students access academics and skills in a positive atmosphere to meet their needs and achieve their individualized goals. General Expectations: The ideal applicant will have demonstrated knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to Special Education. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching student with disabilities, provide leadership to develop systems that provide continuum of special education services as dictated by student need and provides consultation and training to teachers, educational assistants, and families regarding special education needs and interventions.
