DESCRIPTION As a Lead Architect you will ultimately leverage your
in-depth knowledge of architecture and design, strategic thinking,
collaborative skills, and strong communication acumen to manage
projects through completion and develop construction documents. The
responsibilities of this position include: Utilize knowledge and
experience in the design of projects ranging from private
residences to K-12 campuses and seismic retrofits of existing
buildings to commercial developments. Manage project delivery and
utilize staff in a team atmosphere to produce projects from concept
through construction including project status monitoring, tracking
staff schedules and workload, project deadlines, and completing
projects on time and on budget. Lead project development through
standard design processes (schematic design, design development,
and construction documents). Review construction documents for
compliance with applicable codes such as the International Building
Code (IBC) and Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC). Utilize
construction administration experience to follow projects through
construction through review and processing of RFI's, material
submittals, and periodic on-site construction observation.
Collaborate with project partners (in-house disciplines, owners,
sub-consultants, etc.). Assist and instruct entry level staff on
design, technical, and project management best practices. Perform
Project Manager duties as required. The above declarations are not

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in architecture from an
accredited program required. 8 years minimum post graduate
architectural design experience in low to mid-rise buildings (Type
V and Type III construction experience preferred). Must possess
strong design skills and the ability to communicate design through
drawings and 3D modeling. Licensure is preferred, but not required.
Critical thinking with engagement skills coupled with detailed
execution of concepts in a deadline driven arena. Construction
document development experience required. Strong, experienced
writer. Must possess strong design skills and have an aptitude for
project management. Ability to travel (occasionally) as we support
projects throughout the state. Valid driver's license required.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.

and carry materials weighing a maximum of 50 pounds. Able to work
in low light conditions, with desk lamps versus overhead lighting.
Ability to walk throughout a warehouse floor following our internal
safety guidelines.
